...Bring May Flowers: Highlight Reel

Despite the first indications coming up in February, the daffodils are still hanging around with the Hyacinth. Everyone seems to be taking their time.  The early spring flowers seem to be headed toward a mid-spring arrival.  The tulips are just starting to come through. They seem to have struggled the most with the spring blizzards. They aren't tall and definitely have some frost or rodent damage, but they are starting to show some color so there is hope for them yet.

Lots of leafing up happening.  The rose bushes I so severely pruned seem to have rallied entirely and are covered in new growth. The new transplants of Hellaborus, Astilbe, and Honeysuckle seem to have settled in.  While it's early to see any flowers, they seems to be pretty happy in their new homes. The final picture is an inherited bed of Lillies that seem very enthusiastic to take over where we pulled the bushes last summer. Plans are developing to cover that whole area with a porch next summer, so I guess I'll need to find some of these guys a new home next year. They seem so happy. It would be a shame to have them all buried.

Not pictured: The recently transplanted White Dahlia's from Uncle Bob, a patch of wild flowers which has just started to germinate, as well as Marigold and Morning Glory which have not yet shown their faces.
